Can fiction be both great…and Christian?

Oct 11, 2026

I love a good thriller.

Give me danger. Mystery. Characters I care about. A story that keeps me turning pages long after I should have turned out the light. That’s the kind of fiction my soul hungers for.

But there’s something that frustrates me about a lot of modern fiction.

Too often, I’m forced to make a choice.

I can read a terrific story filled with fascinating characters, unexpected twists, and a world I can lose myself in . . . but find myself constantly wading through things that conflict with my faith. My values.

Or I can pick up a Christian novel that shares my worldview . . . but sometimes feels like the story is just a vehicle for delivering a message.

Now, don’t get me wrong—

I’ve read some terrific Christian fiction. And some outstanding secular fiction, too.

But why should we have to choose?

Why can’t we have BOTH?

A story that grabs you by the throat and won’t let go.

Characters who become like old friends.

A world so real you almost forget it isn’t.

And beneath it all, something deeper.

Questions about truth. About good and evil. About faith, sacrifice, and what it really means to follow Christ when doing so might cost you EVERYTHING.

Not a sermon disguised as a novel.

A STORY.

One that entertains you first . . . but just might leave you thinking about it long after you’ve turned the final page.

That’s what I wanted when I began writing The Seekers Series.

And it’s what I’ve spent years trying to create.

Because I don’t believe great storytelling and a Biblical worldview are competing goals.

I believe they can make each other STRONGER.

If you’ve been searching for that kind of fiction, too . . . maybe it’s time you discovered The Seekers Series.
